Inflate
Inflate moves every point of a mesh the same distance outward, so the mesh grows evenly and keeps its shape and hard edges; a negative Distance shrinks it. Unlike scaling, it works the same for every piece of a mesh wherever it sits. Use it to make a cutter a hair bigger than the part it cuts, or to puff up one named part of a model.
Inputs
Section titled “Inputs” Mesh
The mesh to swell or shrink.
Outputs
Section titled “Outputs” Mesh
The same mesh with its surface moved outward (or inward).
Parameters

|---|---|---|
Apply to | What swells: Everywhere, or a named selection. Invert flips the choice. | Everywhere |
Distance | How far the surface moves outward. Negative shrinks it inward. | 0.01 |
