Texture nodes

Texture nodes turn bare geometry into a textured asset. They unwrap UVs, paint color and material qualities, press surface detail into a normal map, and carry textures across steps that would lose them.

  • Smart UV: unwrap a hard-surface mesh automatically so it can be painted.
  • Auto Unwrap: unwrap an organic or mixed shape into a few large, low-stretch charts.
  • Pack UVs: lay existing UV islands out again inside the texture, without re-unwrapping.
  • Paint Fill: paint one layer of color, roughness, metal or glow.
  • Paint Masked: paint through a mask of grunge, selections, gradients and edge bands.
  • Clean Color Edges: turn the wavy borders between colors on a texture into clean lines.
  • Remove Color: remove black slivers, specks or stains of one color and fill them from the colors around them.
  • Procedural Height Map: press a grayscale pattern into the surface as a normal map.
  • Bake: copy textures from painted meshes onto a new one.
