Templates

A template is a finished workflow you start a project from. Pick one on the start screen Forge opens on, or from File ▸ New from Template: it opens as a new project, so the project you had open stays as it is in your project list. Every node in a template carries a comment saying what it does and which one or two settings are worth changing, and the display flag already sits on the node that shows the result.

A template is an ordinary graph once it is open. Change any setting, add nodes, or delete the ones you don’t need.

  • AI mesh cleanup: turn an AI-generated model into a game-ready mesh with a real size, about 10,000 triangles, clean UVs and baked textures.
  • Character: turn a character model into a rigged character that idles, walks and jogs, all in one .glb for your game engine.
  • Merge Parts: merge a model made of several overlapping parts into one closed mesh, every part keeping its own material and textures.
  • Clean & Repack: tidy a model that is already game-ready but a little broken: cracks welded, small holes filled and its own UV islands repacked inside the texture, its triangles and textures kept.
