Boolean
Boolean combines two solid shapes. Difference cuts the second shape out of the first, Union joins them into one, and Intersection keeps only the part where they overlap. New faces appear only along the cut, so flat sides stay low-poly. Use it to cut a doorway into a wall, punch bolt holes through a plate, or weld several blockout shapes into one solid; with only the first input wired, it merges the shapes inside that one mesh. On an imported model made of several parts, each part keeps its own material and textures through that merge.
Inputs
Section titled “Inputs”a The main shape: the one that gets cut, joined or trimmed.
b Optional The second shape: the cutter, or the shape to join or overlap. Leave it unwired to merge the shapes inside a into one solid (Union only).
Outputs
Section titled “Outputs”The combined shape as one mesh, with new faces only along the cut.
Parameters
Section titled “Parameters”| Parameter | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
Operation | How the two shapes combine. Union joins them, Difference cuts b out of a, Intersection keeps only where they overlap. Options: Union (a + b), Difference (a − b), Intersection (a ∩ b) | Difference (a − b) |
Resolve input a | Fixes this input first if its shapes overlap or cross themselves. Auto fixes it only when needed; Always every time (faster for an input that is messy most of the time); Never uses it as it is. Ignored with only one input. Options: Auto (fix when detected), Always (pre-merge as solid), Never (use as-is) | Auto (fix when detected) |
Resolve input b | Fixes this input first if its shapes overlap or cross themselves. Auto fixes it only when needed; Always every time (faster for an input that is messy most of the time); Never uses it as it is. Ignored with only one input. Options: Auto (fix when detected), Always (pre-merge as solid), Never (use as-is) | Auto (fix when detected) |
Tag attribute | Optional name for a tag put on the faces the cutter (b) made, so a later node can find them. Leave blank to tag nothing. | Blank |
Tag value | The value written into that tag. Only used when Tag attribute is set. | Blank |
